TLS negotiated hashing algorithm: SHA-256

Percentage of IRC SSL/TLS servers with hashing algorithm negotiated as SHA-256 hashing algorithm. Showing percentages for charybdis servers only.

About this test result: The SHA-256 hashing algorithm is a 256 bit hash function. It is still considered secure today, although there is a tendency to move to SHA-384 or better.
Note on statistics: there is a difference in the gathering of TLS servers between 2017-2019 and 2020-onwards, see SSL/TLS statistics on the data page.
